who we are
Why We Believe in Global Learning
We all have had the opportunity to travel as students and professionals and have experienced the influence that global awareness can have on one's educational, professional, and personal development. Our desire is to provide study abroad experiences for as many Morgan students as we can!
BECAUSE EVERY BEAR DESERVES THE WORLD -
Studying abroad is more than travel, it’s an education that lives far beyond the classroom. When students step into new cultures, they return with sharpened academic skills, a deeper sense of resilience, and an expanded view of what’s possible for their lives and careers. These experiences prepare Morgan students not only to graduate, but to lead with global perspective.
We believe access to these opportunities should never be limited to a few. That’s why the Office of Study Abroad works to remove barriers. whether financial, cultural, or personal—and ensure our students feel supported at every step. By opening doors to international study, we are opening pathways for Morgan Bears to thrive as innovators, leaders, and changemakers at home and across the globe.

Imany Dye is a globe-trotter, storyteller, and proud Morgan State alumna with a degree in Strategic Communications. A lifelong “citizen of the world,” she’s combined her passions for travel, culture, and connection into a career that matters. After working in the nonprofit world, Imany returned to her roots—exploring the African Diaspora and promoting global experiences. Now, as the Programs Coordinator for Morgan's Office of Study Abroad, she helps students become global citizens themselves. When she’s not stamping her passport or working, she’s writing—her work has even landed on the front page of the Baltimore Times. Favorite country so far?
